NEEM Oil
For safe and effective control of insects and diseases in your lawn and garden, Neem oil is an excellent organic solution. It functions as both a pesticide and fungicide, tackling pests like tomato Hornworms, corn Earworms, aphids, and Whiteflies, while also combating common fungal diseases.
Neem oil is favored by organic gardeners due to its safety for humans, pets, livestock, and most wildlife. It specifically targets harmful pests, leaving beneficial insects like bees and ladybugs unharmed unless sprayed directly.
In addition to its pest control properties, pure Neem oil has various health applications, though it should not be ingested, as it can irritate the eyes, skin, and stomach. Neem oil breaks down quickly and leaves no harmful residue, making it safe to apply up to the day of harvest. However, avoid using it near waterways, as it can be toxic to fish and aquatic life.
Neem oil works by repelling insects on contact and can be absorbed by plants, further deterring feeding. Its key ingredient, Azadirachtin, disrupts the hormonal systems of plant-feeding insects, inhibiting their feeding, mating and growth – which helps prevent resistance over time.
Additionally, Neem oil stimulates a plant’s immune response to fight off fungal diseases like mildew, rust, and blight, and it can be effectively used as a soil drench for enhanced protection.

Neem as a Biopesticide:
The importance of Neem as a biopesticide was recognized by the modern scientific community as early as 1959, when a German scientist in Sudan found that Neem was the only tree that remained green during a desert locust infestation.
Literature confirms that Neem can effectively get rid of more than 200 pest species that affect plants. The pesticidal properties of Neem are largely attributable to Azadirachtin found in Neem extracts, which is a growth regulator as well as a potent feeding and ovipositional deterrent. Azadirachtin is non-volatile and an insect cannot detect it by smell, but must taste it to react to it. A taste of Azadirachtin stimulates at least one ‘deterrent neuron’ in insects that exhibits an anti-feeding response. The strength of ‘deterrent neuron responses’ is correlated with the strength of anti-feeding responses.
Neem oil can also suffocate mites, Whiteflies, aphids and other soft-bodied insects on contact. It is therefore clear that Neem does not kill on contact, but rather inhibits the feeding and reproduction of the pests.
These multiple modes of action make it unlikely that insects and plant pathogens will develop resistance to Neem. Also, certain pests such as flower Thrips, Diamondback moth and various leaf miners that develop resistance to inorganic pesticides or that are inherently difficult to control with conventional pesticides are effectively controlled or managed with Neem.
Plague Shift
Plague-Shift uses a pioneering technology that tackles endemic pests and plagues that farmers are challenged with on a daily basis. These problems are worldwide. Plague-Shift excels in the area’s where standard insecticides and pesticides fall short. Plague-Shift has the unique ability to eliminate pests and infestations, during development within soil, and most significantly once they have penetrated plants.
Pest and plague defence mechanisms make long term efficacy of most pesticide, fungicide and insecticide products almost impossible. Plague-Shift is identified by pest and plague cell structures as a crucial component for their health and survival, there is little or no chance of them developing a resistance to treatment.
Plague-Shift is highly effective as an inoculant for seeds and seedlings. In addition, it can be applied both as a root and foliar treatment acting on developing pests and plagues in soil and after they have penetrated plants.
How Does Plague Shift Work?
- Lipids: Lipids play a crucial role in many aspects of cell function and health. They are so intrinsic to cell life that cells are in constant need of more. Mosmart’s associated scientists have exploited this cell behavior and developed a technology to maximize the delivery of payloads, deadly or nutritional, direct into cells. (i.e. Perfect Trojan Horse)
- ANODS: Our technology is called ANODS (Amphiphilic Nano Oil Delivery System) which are 50 nanometer liposomal vesicle (lipid structures) which can penetrate almost any biological barrier. Although the minuscule size is a major advantage, their absorption into cells is further amplified by a biological “lipid transfer” mechanism that mediates and expedites lipid transfer across the cell membranes.
- Trojan-horse-effect: A key feature of ANODS is their ability to encapsulate selected ingredients. Seen by nematode cells as desired lipids, the ANODS are readily absorbed into cells while depositing encapsulated ingredients into the cells. This “Trojan Horse” mechanism allows us to deliver our naturally derived fungicidal, insecticidal, herbicidal, or anti inflammatory ingredients quickly and easily into targeted cells.
- Targeting: Exploiting the “protein based” messaging system used by cells to identify/attract each other, our ANODS are designed to include selected receptors which facilitates their rapid move towards targeted cells. This overcomes the wasteful and sometimes dangerous “spray and pray” approach used in traditional treatments.
Non-Toxic: All ingredients in the standard product are natural plant extracts and contain no toxins. The active ingredients that act against various pests and plagues are harmless to plants, animals and humans.
Specific Pests: Add 1-2% of existing pesticides/insecticides for enhanced effectiveness if the need arises.

MARINE 3
A nutrient-rich supplement derived from marine sources, Marine 3 (M3T) provides essential minerals and trace elements that are beneficial for plant health. It effectively reduces water viscosity and droplet size to nano-micro-millimeters, enhancing penetration capabilities and improving nutrient and moisture absorption for both hair roots and soil.
Marine 3 offers a groundbreaking patented environmentally friendly and non-toxic anionic surfactant that has been extensively evaluated, researched, and developed by prominent and world-renowned scientists over an extended period of 17 years.
M3T Differs from other surfactants which are either alcohol based, oil based, or chemically based and contains solvents such as glycol and ammonia which are mostly toxic and non-environmentally friendly.
M3T is primarily used in the pre-treatment of water. The quality of water and its properties are manipulated in an entirely natural way.
This natural product neutralizes the magnetic charges of particles in water thus reducing surface and interfacial tension resulting in:
- Increased adhesion of the liquid to a solid particle thus resulting in a powerful wetting agent.
- Allows for water and oil-based droplets to break down into finer globules and to stay in suspension for longer, resulting in powerful emulsification.
- Prevention of particles to cluster or agglomerate together, thus resulting in powerful deagglomeration.
- The product poses no danger to the environment due to the low percentage of active ingredients in the composition of the product.
Due to the extremely low dosages required to make water much more effective, it makes the product:

Marine 3 is a multi-purpose anionic surfactant with ingredients derived from plant extracts, seawater, and other proprietary ingredients. Marine 3 reduces water surface and interfacial tension. When a low dosage of between 0,0001% up to 1.0% of M3T is added to water it reduces the water surface tension from 72mN/m to 32mN/m.

PLANT BOOSTER
Plant Booster is a new foliar feed comprised of a slow-release nitrogen source coupled with fulvic, humic and amino acids, i.e. bio-stimulants.
Bio-stimulants work with a plant’s endogenous processes to boost growth responses and increase resistance to stress and pest/disease damage, while nitrogen is a key nutrient required for protein synthesis. Plant Booster also contains innovative, patented surfactant technology to drive uptake by the plant, maximizing its impact on a growing crop. A variety of foliar feeds are available that either contain a high nitrogen content or are marketed as a biostimulant, but none contain this unique combination.
Plant Booster is a foliar product comprised primarily of a nitrogen source (urea) in combination with humic, fulvic and amino acids, all of which are bio-stimulants along with the patented surfactant. A biostimulant is a material that contains substances which stimulate endogenous processes in plants to improve nutrient uptake and use, drive targeted growth and improve the crop’s ability to withstand stress (rather than acting as a conventional fertilizer). The surfactant increases the wettability of the product, increasing contact with the leaf and promoting uptake. This unique combination places it at the interface between two distinct market areas: foliar feeds and bio-stimulants whilst exploiting the benefits of the surfactant technology. Foliar application of nutrients and other materials is a well-established practice for targeted provision of nutrients to a growing crop to ensure optimum crop conditions are achieved, giving maximal yield quality and volume.
Plant Booster acts to provide a general macronutrient to ensure that the crop is not limiting its potential as a result of poor uptake of nitrogen from the soil. Foliar applications of nitrogen are also considerably more efficient than soil applications as reduced proportions of loss to the environment through leaching or through microbial activity before the nutrients can be taken up by the plant are seen, with positive results seen in the crop on a much shorter timescale (1/2 days compared with a week or more for conventional fertilizers). By targeting nutrient applications higher levels of nutrient use efficiency can be achieved, offering savings for the grower, reducing the environmental impact of cultivation and ensuring peak crop condition. The impact of a foliar feed can be greatly linked to crop condition, application method and timing, and the starting soil/fertility condition of the crop.

WRD-P
WRD-P is a road, dust and polymer product as an alternative road surfacing solution for maintenance and dust suppression on gravel surface roads. Mosmart, following successful trials at various clients under all types of conditions, has developed a range of unique products that performs in accordance with the specific requirements of the client.
Polymer emulsions (WRD-P):
Polymer dispersions are suspensions of synthetic polymers in which the monomers are polymerized in an aquatic medium. Various formulations are available and the product has been widely used for stabilization, and more recently for dust suppression. Polymer (PVA and PVC) emulsions are used extensively to form thin layers in waterproofing paints for roofs and walls. They do not suffer embrittlement, leaching nor UV degradation and have good adhesive properties, making them potentially successful as dust suppressants by binding wearing course material.
Depending on the specific product, they can be mixed in to the upper 100 mm wearing course (rates vary according to product, material type, preparation and traffic). The product is very effective on most soils in all climates.
AQUA-SPLIT
AquaSplit and AquaShock coagulants destabilize the forces keeping colloids apart and greatly accelerate the settlement time of materials suspended in liquids. This enhances the capacity of wastewater treatment plants. For example, the capacity of a sewerage wastewater plant is determined by the volume of water it can store in batches for settlement processes.
In addition to improved settlement performance, AquaShock can increase the pH of liquid solutions and presents a superior offering in terms of effectiveness and price in the treatment of acid water in the mining industry.
Flokkit flocculant enhances the solid-liquid separation process as it gathers the destabilized particles together and causes them to agglomerate and drop out of the solution even more efficiently.
Customers relying on us for this technology, is seen where a combination of AquaSplit and Flokkit, is for example used by the largest South African producer of dairy products, to treat its effluent water in the butter production plant and to remove contaminants to such an extent that the water can be used for irrigation after treatment.
Another example is where Flokkit is used for the efficient removal of iron from borehole water to such an extent that the water can be used in the industrial process of the customer. The customer has become independent from the fresh water supply network.
Further examples from technical service work show that AquaShock, AquaSplit and Flokkit remove metals (Fe, Mo, Zn, etc) and ionic impurities (SO42-, etc), suspended solids, turbidity, etc. from wastewaters from various industries.
